The beaches of the Mar Menor are just 3 minutes drive away. The beaches are very clean and safe for children. The Mar Menor itself is a natural salt water lagoon spanning some 27k long and 9km wide. It is shallow and great for bathing, water sports etc. The deepest point in the centre is a mere 7 metres. The lagoon is protected from the Mediterranean sea by La Manga strip.
